The Significance of Collective Action in Development
The state of the roads in most of Harare’s locations is devastating. Imagine the damage and the harm that is caused to the suspension of our cars and our tyres. The rainy season is the hardest time to endure as most roads are filled with potholes. How about local communities being responsible for their own welfare? Why not unite as a community and repair that bad road. After all, you are the ones at the mechanic time and again because of suspension. You are always repairing that tyre because of that road. Do you know that collective action for development is permitted. Communities can unite and make efforts to repair their own roads. For newly built up areas you can unite and mobilize resources for gravel on your roads or even tar. Yes, it’s okay to fill up those potholes with rubbles but it’s not sustainable. This is why we exist to help you establish sustainable roads in your communities
